Creating a P25 Radio System
Use the following procedure to create a P25 Radio System.
Note: Radio systems must be assigned to a channel before becoming available to network users.
To create a P25 radio system
1. Navigate to the
Settings > Radio Interoperability > P25 Interoperability > ISSI page and click the
Radio Systems tab.

2. Click the Add ‘+’ button in the lower, right of the screen, and then click Create radio system.
The Create radio system page opens.
3. In the Create radio system page, enter the following:
Name: A unique name to identify this radio system in ICE.
Description: Optional notes and reminders only appear here.
Hostname/IP address: Radio system host or IP address.
Port number: Port used for radio system traffic.
RFSS ID: Radio Frequency Sub-System ID in decimal. This unique identifier is used by the radio system for trunking. It identifies a cluster of radio sites that are intended to carry the same set of users.
System ID: The system ID of the radio system in decimal. The System ID is a unique identifier that, along with the WACN ID, helps to identify and manage a specific trunked radio system. This ID ensures that subscriber radios can correctly identify and connect to the intended system, facilitating seamless communication and interoperability within the network.
WACN ID: The Wide Area Communications Network ID, combined with the System ID, allows different trunked systems to interoperate and allows subscriber radios to roam within other systems that share the same WACN ID.
4. Click the Save button.
A banner confirms the new radio system addition, and the radio system now appears in the active radio systems list.
