Entra ID SSO Configuration
When enabled and configured, the Sign in with Microsoft Entra ID button appears in the login screen on ICE clients. Users clicking this option are presented with an Entra ID login window where they can enter their Entra ID credentials for authentication.
Instant Connect uses OAuth 2.0 with Microsoft Entra authentication. Entra ID also supports a number of other authentication protocols (including SAML and RADIUS) which ICE does not yet support.
Note: Entra ID was formerly known as Azure Active Directory (often referred to as Azure AD or AD) and was rebranded by Microsoft in 2023. All references to Azure Active Directory have changed to Entra ID.
Prerequisites
Before beginning, ensure you have the following:
Ability to log into your ICE Server system as an administrator. You will not need access to the ICE OS Configuration Wizard, Kubernetes, or virtual machine. An Entra ID domain and administrative rights to register an application within it. Instant Connect cannot provide this access to a customer. Customers should contact their IT department for assistance.
