About Archived Recordings
Recordings of audio made during operation are available in Settings > Archived Recordings.
Archived recordings are published with the following attributes:
Format: .wav
Encoding: PCM
Sample Rate: 8KHz 32-bit floating point with little endian.
File Size
Downloaded file will be around 1.5MB per minute of archived recording. Estimate the memory required based on the number of recorded channels and the duration of their operation with some additional space added for insurance.
File Retention
The retention period of archived recordings can be set in ICE Desktop > Settings > Organization. Retention periods of up to one year is supported
Exceeding Allotted Memory
If the recordings exceed available space:

the
System Health > Minio Utilization check will turn red.

Subsequent recordings will fail.

Newly archived recording records appear in ICE Desktop, but the audio may be missing and attempts to play or download the recording will produce an error message.
Note: Quotas are flexible; the system checks disk space periodically, allowing temporary usage over 100%. The retention period is enforced once every 24 hours, so recordings may exceed their period by up to a day.
You can also track drive storage utilization in
Grafana.
Currently UI does not allow bulk download of archived recordings, instead downloading files is done one by one and this also does not capture metadata of speaker or channel name etc.
