Managing Assigned Channels
This section covers the creation, modification, and deletion of Assigned Channels. The following attributes apply to Assigned Channels:

Only Admins may create Assigned Channels.

Only Admins may edit or delete Assigned Channels.

When logged-in to ICE, Assigned Channels always appear at the top of the Channels list.

When operating in Tactical mode, Assigned Channels are not available and do not appear.

Users may turn Assigned Channels on or off on their own devices without effecting other users.
Other channel types, such as Intercom and Tactical channels are created and managed by users and instructions for managing them are located in the ICE Mobile and ICE Desktop user guides.
Note: Admins control the default configuration settings applied when new Intercom Channels are created. Users are not required to enter IP addresses, they only need to specify the users they want on their Intercom Channel.
Assigned Channel Collectives
The following collectives may be applied to Assigned Channels:
Channel GroupsPeople/Channel Groups are collections of people and/or channels created for easy assignment and removal. People/Channel Groups may contain channels only, users only, or any mix of the two. For instructions on creating and using People/Channel Groups see

Dynamic Talk GroupsSimilar to a Channel Group, but more extensible, Dynamic Talk Groups may include any other channels through an implicit patch that only activates during channel activity. For instructions on creating and using Dynamic Talk Groups see
