People/Channel Group Rules
The following rules apply to Groups of People and/or Channels.

The Groups interface does not support the creation of new People and Channels. You can only add or remove Channels and People that already exist.
Groups can accept assignment of Channels and/or People, but neither are required. You can create Groups with only channels, only People, or a combination.
Empty Groups are supported for later assignments to channels and People. Thus, if you wish to create all Groups first and assign them later, you may do so.
The Channels and People in one Group may also exist in other Groups. Overlap is allowed.
If you assign a Person to a Group, the Person is assigned all the channels in the Group.
The Settings > People tab supports adding a Group to a Person. This is the same action as adding a Person to a Group and is supported from both Groups and People (user) interfaces.
If you assign a channel to a Group, the channel is assigned to all the People in the Group.
The Settings > Channels tab supports adding a Group to a Channel. This is the same action as adding a channel to a Group and is supported from both Groups and Channels interfaces.
Groups cannot be assigned to other Groups, and Groups cannot be duplicated.
If you delete a Group, The People and Channels that are members of the Group are no longer associated but their existing assignments remain the same. They can now be modified individually, but not as a Group.
On saving a Group, all channel and user associations are assigned regardless of previous assignments. For example, if a user is assigned Channel A, and the user is then made a member of a People/Channel Group with Channel A, then when Channel A is removed from the Group, it will also be removed from the user.
On removing a Group from a channel and saving, the users of the channel who were not in the Group remain unchanged. From the perspective of the People on the channel who are not members of the Group, the Group members will no longer appear on the channel. The Group members themselves will no longer see the channel in their ICE clients.
