Rallypoint Rules

All Rallypoints exist as a member of a
Rallypoint Group. A Rallypoint Group consists of zero or more physical
Rallypoints. There are no “standalone” Rallypoints in the system that exist outside of a group, but a group need not have multiple Rallypoints in it.

A physical Rallypoint is operated by an
ICE Agent that communicates with ICE Server and provisions the Rallypoint based on changes to ICE Server configuration (for example, a user changes the organization’s cert stores).

Each physical Rallypoint is assigned a single address and port number (IP address or FQDN). The assignment is done when starting ICE Agent.

All Rallypoints in a mesh require a unique ID known to all members. Peering requires the Peer’s ID.

Channels are assigned to a Rallypoint Group, not to a specific Rallypoint in the group. Clients connecting to the channel configure their Engage engines to connect to any of the physical Rallypoints in the assigned Rallypoint Group.

All Rallypoints must use the same certificates. Mismatched certs will block audio. Administrators must handle troubleshooting.
