Latching
Latching keeps the PTT button down after releasing, allowing you to perform other actions while transmitting. However, latched PTT buttons do not ‘unlatch’ automatically, and special care must be taken not to leave a PTT button latched, or you may continue transmitting without being aware.
To latch a PTT button
1. From the channel panels on the Dashboard, click and hold any PTT button.
2. Press and hold the Alt or Option key and release the mouse button before releasing the key.
Your PTT button is now latched and your microphone will remain hot until unlatched
Note: Latching also functions with Multi-Channel PTT. Select the channels and then use the multi-channel PTT button on the button of the page to click - Alt/Opt – Release.
To unlatch a PTT button
*Click anywhere in the ICE Dekstop interface (typically the blank background).
Note: If you have multiple application windows open, clicking another application will not unlatch the microphone. You must click somewhere inside the ICE Desktop interface window.
