Enabling CUCM Mixed-Mode Security
In order to enable CUCM to accept calls both in secure and insecure mode, the admin needs to turn on the ‘mixed-mode’ flag in the CUCM via the command line interface.
To enable CUCM to operate in ‘mixed-mode’
1. Use Secure Shell (SSH) protocol to get in to the CUCM command line shell and apply the following command: admin:utils ctl set-cluster mixed-mode
2. CUCM prompts for confirmation:
This operation will set the cluster to Mixed mode. Do you want to continue? (y/n):
This operation will set the cluster to Mixed mode. Do you want to continue? (y/n):
3. Press 'y' to continue and the following response should appear:
Moving Cluster to Mixed Mode
Cluster set to Mixed Mode
4. Please Restart Cisco Tftp, Cisco CallManager and Cisco CTIManager services on all nodes in the cluster that run these services.
