Multi-NIC Support
If your ICE Server is hosted on a machine offering multiple network cards, you can configure ICE to use up to four NICs. This provides a way to add NICs for reflectors that require an assigned IP address, and supports the flow of multicast over different physical network interfaces.
Important:
Adding, removing or otherwise modifying the virtual machine's network configuration after completing setup for multi-NIC support may result in a scrambled configuration. For example, the configuration for eth1 and eth2 may become reversed. Other Administrators and those with access to the virtual machine should be notified that a multi-NIC configuration is in place, and that it should not be modified.
Only the first NIC has gateway access. All other NICs only have access to their subnet and their traffic is directed to their NIC based on destination address.
To add a NIC
1. The first NIC is configured as the default gateway using the terminal icectrl setup screen.
*IP + mask in CIDR format
*DNS servers
*Default Gateway
2. The second, and any additional NICS are configured in the ICE OS Configuration Wizard.
A. In the ICE Wizard, navigate to Network.
B. Add IP + mask in CIDR format.
C. Update NTP and DNS servers.
3. Save and test the configuration.
