Activating a License for ICE Mobile in Tactical Mode
In Tactical mode for the first time, an alert indicates that that the app is unlicensed. Unlicensed ICE applications can only communicate via PTT for up to 3 seconds at a time.
To obtain a license, contact your sales representative, or visit Instant Connect Support at: https://support.instantconnectnow.com. If you already have a license, then use the instructions below to activate your license.
To activate your license
1. At the login screen, start ICE Mobile in Tactical mode by clicking Continue without Login.
2. Tap Menu > About.
3. Tap the Activate License button, or the Activate Offline button to scan a QR code.
If prompted, allow ICE permission to access the device camera.

Note: Activating offline requires a second device with internet access to confirm activation.
4. Move your camera over the QR code. The ICE Mobile app scans the QR code and reads the license key and activation code to apply the license to the application. The license key contains the URL to the Instant Connect license activation server that processes the license request.
5. Depending on the license provided, you may need to enter an activation code. Complete any additional prompts as required. Contact your ICE Administrator or the person that sent you the license to request the activation code.
6. After entering a valid license key, the License section of the About page displays the expiration date of the license.
You can now operate ICE Mobile in Tactical mode without PPT timeout limitations.
