Key Features Reference
Key features of the ICE Mobile client include the following:
*Home
The Home screen is used for authentication and is the container for all active channels.
*Missions
Missions are an easy way to create and manage channels (talk groups) and participate in communication with other users across your organization from your mobile device. Each mission contains a group of channels with associated users which provide seamless (PTT) communication via multiple devices.
*Channels
Channels are groups of people and contacts designed to organize and secure communication across your organization via multiple media devices. Channels can be created, managed, and shared centrally by your IT department or by individual users to meet your organization's communication requirements.
*PTT Communication
Push-to-Talk allows instant communication to one or more people (talk groups) via other mobile devices, radio, phone, and PC with a push of a button.
*Monitor Channels
Allows a user to monitor communication across multiple channels simultaneously, join existing active communication, initiate a new channel, view information for users on the channel, and locate users on a map.
*Intercom Channel
Ability for the user to create a channel with one or more users. This enables your mobile device to directly communicate with other users on PC and mobile devices.
*Group PTT
Provides the ability for push-to-talk on a shared channel with many other clients. The transmission can be heard by all other clients or resources on the shared channel.
*Group PTT Simulcast
Provides the ability to talk on multiple channels at the same time by selecting them before PTT.
*Secure Communications
Provide the ability to encrypt PTT communications on a channel. Audio is encrypted with AES 256 plus all client connections are secured with TLS 1.3.
*Channel Mute
Provide the ability to mute incoming audio on a per channel basis.
*Talker ID
The ability to see the display name of the user talking on a per channel basis.
*Channel Participants (Per Channel)
The ability to show the list of participants on a per channel basis.
*GPS Mapping (Per Channel)
The ability to provide location updates on each device. The clients use the built-in maps to display the location of each client on a per channel basis.
*Talker History
Provides the ability to show PTT transmit and receive history on a per-channel basis.
*Channel Volume
Provides the ability to increase or decrease volume of incoming audio on a per channel basis.
*Map
The map provides real time visual location tracking information of all participating members across your organization. Multiple contacts or individuals can be located on the mapping application.
*Mission Sharing
Provides users the ability to share a mission with other users via QR code or file that can be read from internal/external storage.
*RallyPoints
RallyPoints enable (PTT) communication from devices outside of your network which have Internet access. RallyPoints convert Multicast packets to Unicast for routing over Unicast network segments and over the Internet.
*Multicast
Multicast enables (PTT) communication from devices inside your network.
*Channel (PTT) Replay
Each channel on an ICE Client will provide the ability to replay audio received within the configured time frame.
*IP Telephony
Ability for the user to Make, Receive phone calls from the mobile client.
*Private Calls
Ability for the user to Make, Receive private full-duplex calls from the mobile client to another ICE client.
*Instant Messaging
Users can send and receive instant messages via conversations, which are chat groups based on either a channel or a selected group of users.
*Transmit Priority
Transmit priority allows higher priority users to preempt lower priority users on the same channel. Users are assigned a transmit priority, which is a 5-level range from 'highest' to 'lowest'. The ICE desktop and mobile clients display a notification to users when they are being preempted.
