Georedundant Resync and Reindex
If you have deployed ICE in a Georedundant configuration, use the following procedure to resynchronize the ICE Datacenter and then reindex the ICE Database.
To resync and reindex a Georedundant ICE System
1. Sign in to the ICE OS Configuration Wizard.
2. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
The Tools menu opens.
3. In the Tools menu, click DC1 Restart Kafka Message Replication.
The red Kafka replication status should return to green in 10 to 15 seconds. Once green, proceed to the next step.
4. Click DC2 Restart Kafka Message Replication.
Wait 2 minutes and verify the Kubernetes pod status is green before proceeding to the next step.
5. Click DC1 Data Center Resync.
Wait 2 minutes and verify the Kubernetes pod status is green before proceeding to the next step.
6. Click DC2 Data Center Resync.
Wait 2 minutes and verify the Kubernetes pod status is green before proceeding to the next step.
7. Click DC1 Database Reindex.
Wait 2 minutes and verify the Kubernetes pod status is green before proceeding to the next step.
8. Click DC2 Database Reindex.
In the Status menu, click Jobs. Once the job is green, the data center is synchronized.
Job Status
Once completed, the status of each job should be green. If any jobs remain red, contact the Instant Connect Support Team.
Network Time Procol Synchronization
Georedundant servers, and any servers operating in a group election environment, are dependent on accurate time synchronization. To prevent sync issues, ensure your ESXi host is connected with and using an NTP Server.
