Associating Channels and P25 Radio Systems
To associate a radio system and a channel, both must already exist. When you associate a radio system and a channel, the two are bridged, allowing two-way audio transfer. The Radio System needs to know what to do with the new transmissions, and this section explains how to create that association.
To associate channels with a P25 radio system
1. In the Settings > Channels page, select the channel to associate and click the Edit (pencil) icon.
2. From the Edit assigned channel popup, under Radio Interoperability, perform the following operations.
A. Interoperability type:
Select P25 ISSI
B. Radio system:
Select the radio system to assign to the channel. See Creating a P25 Radio System.
C. Select P25 Crypto Key:
Select an encryption key as appropriate.
D. Group ID:
Every ISSI channel must be associated with a unique talk group ID. The range of Group ID is typically between 1 to 65,535.
3. Click the Save button.
