Rallypoint Components
Every Rallypoint Group consists of the following components: a Group containing one or more Member Servers, and optional connections to Federated Peers and/or Virtual IP Addresses. The following table describes each component.
Rallypoint Mesh
(Group)
A group of interconnected Rallypoints that act as a single entity. A connection to one Rallypoint in the mesh is equivalent to a connection to any other Rallypoint. A mesh may consist of one or more Physical Rallypoints.
Physical Rallypoint
(Member Servers)
Any Rallypoint configured through ICE Agent that is not a static reflector. In a Rallypoint Group, they appear under Member Servers.
Federated Peers
The address and port of a Physical Rallypoint or Rallypoint Mesh that a third party organization controls (not managed by an ICE Agent on the same ICE Server platform). The federated peer links this Rallypoint Mesh to the third party Rallypoint.
Virtual IP
A virtual IP or hostname assigned to a Rallypoint Mesh that provides an alternate route or means of accessing one or more Physical Rallypoints in the mesh.
