Patches and Dynamic Talk Groups
A patched channel has two-way communication with the other channels on the patch. A Dynamic Talk Group (DTG) is a type of channel with a pre-configured patch integrated into the channel, providing it with more extensive patching capability.
The patching icons on the channel panels indicate when a patch is active or inactive. Only Patch Administrators can turn patching on or off, however; ICE Mobile does not provide access to the Dynamic Talk Groups settings. Dynamic Talk Groups can only be activated or deactivated on ICE Desktop. Dynamic Talk Groups are not controlled from the Patch tab.
Patching Indicators
The Patch indicator appears as the third icon from the left at the bottom of every channel panel. If the channel is a Dynamic Talk Group then the Patch indicator is a lightning bolt.

Active Dynamic Talk Group and patched channels
When a patch indicator is lit, the channel is patched. If the indicator is a lightning bolt, then the channel is participating in a Dynamic Talk Group, not a regular patch. The Patch tab does not display DTG or their activation status or their members. Active DTG may be very large and include other DTGs.
