Tactical Settings
The Tactical > Settings menu option provides the user configuration options for User Identity, License Activation, and Asset Discovery.
Tactical User Identity
Tactical user identity options allow you to view and edit your identity, which is displayed to other users. The following table describes these options.
Setting | Description |
Display Name | Your full name, used to identify you in the Replay tab and User tab |
Username | Unique ID that identifies you within your organization |
Alias | Alias that identifies you on radio systems or other interoperable systems |
Tactical License Activation
Asset Discovery
Asset discovery options allow you to configure devices that advertise services on the network. ICE Desktop self-configures channels based on the advertisement. The following table describes these options.
Note: The asset discovery feature requires the gateway to be running a version of firmware that supports the asset discovery feature.
Setting | Description |
Discover CISTECH GV1 LMR Assets | Enables or disables listening for gateway advertisements |
Timeout (Seconds) | Amount of time between each advertisement of packets |
To configure asset discovery
1. Ensure the asset is configured for connection according to the asset's documentation.
2. Navigate to the Settings > Tactical page.
3. Click to activate Discover UPnP Assets.
4. In Timeout, enter the number of seconds you want your ICE client to continue searching for UPnP assets.
