Tactical Page (Missions)
The Tactical page appears in Menu > Tactical when ICE Mobile is in Tactical Mode (see Launching ICE Mobile in Tactical Mode). The Tactical page allows you to create, edit, delete, export, and import Missions.
Note: You can configure the Tactical menu and Tactical Channels to appear in Enterprise Mode, (see Tactical Mode in Setting Operating Modes). This allows you to use Missions in Enterprise and Tactical mode.
The purpose of Missions is to encapsulate Tactical Channels into a package that can be transferred between users via file or QR code.
For instructions on creating and managing Tactical Channels see Mission Management.
Understanding Tactical Mode
Tactical mode alters the way ICE Mobile functions, allowing it to operate without a connection to an ICE Server. The following factors apply to the use and operation of ICE Mobile in Tactical Mode:
*ICE Clients running in Tactical mode rely exclusively on Tactical Channels. Assigned and Intercom channels are not available in Tactical Mode.
*Unlicensed ICE Mobile applications are limited to 3 second transmission times in Tactical mode. See Activating a License for ICE Mobile in Tactical Mode.
*Tactical Channels may be created by anyone, but must be shared as Missions files (.ice extension) before others can import and use them.
*Text Messaging, and therefore also attachments, are unavailable in Tactical Mode.
*Telephone calling is not supported in Tactical Mode.
